Man loses life after attack with gas cylinders
The author of the crime blamed the fictional character Chucky, the same doll from horror movies
Ayacucho - Peru. In a chilling scene, which occurred on September 6, 2022 in the Covadonga Human Settlement, Huamanga, Ayacucho region, Peru, a man lost his life at the hands of his coworker after being repeatedly hit in the head with gas cylinders . Rafael Vilcatoma Arone, 20, perpetrated this atrocious act against Abraham Lucano Huarcaya, 41, as captured by local security cameras.
The images show the moment when both men, apparently working together, counted the gas cylinders. Suddenly, Vilcatoma attacked Lucanus, taking advantage of a brief oversight. After committing the violent act, the aggressor left the scene with surprising normality.
The rapid response of the National Police led to the capture of Vilcatoma, who hid under the steps of a staircase in his home. Alarmingly, authorities discovered that Vilcatoma is responsible for the care of his two younger sisters, since they do not live with his parents.
During police interrogation, Vilcatoma spoke incoherently and referred to himself as the fictional character "Chucky" from a horror movie. The owner of the business, where both worked, described him as a "very quiet" man recently hired, while the victim had been working at the establishment for eight days.
A forensic expert from Lima traveled to Ayacucho to evaluate Vilcatoma's psychological profile and determine whether he was faking dementia to mitigate his sentence, but the examination was inconclusive. Authorities found bloody clothing in his home. The victim's family affirms that the attacker is not insane.
Currently
The Fifth Preparatory Investigation Court of Ayacucho issued nine months of preventive detention against Vilcatoma. However, allegations of insanity on the defendant's part persist, slowing the court process while the victim's family seeks justice. To date, the aggressor remains in prison.
