Murder of woman investigated in Hanoi

In the capital of Vietnam, the city of Hanoi is in shock after a crime that took place in the early morning hours of May 13. A man attacked a woman in the middle of the street, using a knife to repeatedly wound her in front of the stunned eyes of passers-by.

The victim, who was knocked down and immobilized by her attacker, unfortunately lost his life as a result of the injuries received.

The act was recorded in a video that circulated on social networks, showing how the attacker attacks the woman dressed in black in the area leading to Dong Do Lake, in the Soc Son district, Hanoi.

Although another young man tried to stop the suspect, the situation was too dangerous and he chose to leave the scene.

The authorities, coordinated by the Soc Son district police, have launched an exhaustive investigation to clarify the crime. Although official details have not yet been revealed, the hypothesis is that the attack could be a femicide, possibly perpetrated by an ex-partner of the murdered woman.

To date, the suspect remains a fugitive and has not been identified by authorities.

It is expected that in the next few hours testimonies will be held with the victim's relatives and more relevant information will be collected to advance the investigation.
