Knife incident leaves man without a hand

The National Police deepens the investigations of a confrontation, where two men were seriously injured


Police agents from the Regional Investigation Subdirectorate (Dicrim) are carrying out an exhaustive investigation into an incident with knives that left a man without a hand in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic.

The event took place on the night of Tuesday, May 14, on the main road of the Consuelo municipality. According to reports from the spokesperson for the Southeast Regional Directorate of the PN, Anuelina García G., the altercation involved two men identified as Nelvi Feliz Feliz, alias "Papito", 27 years old, and Milquiades Kelvin Trinidad Ramos, 31 years old.

Nelvi Feliz Feliz, a resident of the Los Filiu sector, suffered "cranial trauma and multiple wounds from a machete," according to the medical diagnosis. On the other hand, Milquiades Kelvin Trinidad Ramos, a resident of the Libertad sector, suffered a "traumatic amputation of his left hand."




Both involved received medical attention, with Nelvi Feliz Feliz being treated at a local health center and Milquiades Kelvin Trinidad Ramos being transferred to the Dr. Darío Contreras Teaching Hospital in Santo Domingo Este, where he will undergo surgery.

According to García G., the confrontation occurred as a result of an argument between the two men over a passenger.

Both are currently in police custody as the investigation continues.
