Attempted robbery in restaurant leaves criminal dead

This Wednesday, June 5, at 12:40 pm, an attempted robbery was recorded at the Guille's restaurant, located in the Ciudad Jardín neighborhood of Cúcuta. Three armed criminals broke into the establishment, stripping several diners of their belongings.

As seen on the security cameras, the assailants, dressed in red, gray and white sweaters, entered the restaurant and began robbing customers.

In particular, the criminal in a white sweater threw one of the clients, who turned out to be an escort, to the ground, kicked him and stole his belongings while his accomplices stripped others of his cell phones.

After the assault concluded, the criminals tried to flee walking calmly. However, the bodyguard, who had been attacked, took out his service weapon and opened fire on the assailants.

The criminal in the white sweater was fatally injured when he tried to escape on his motorcycle. The other two managed to escape: the one in red escaped on his motorcycle, while the one in the gray sweater fled on foot to Avenida Los Libertadores, where he intimidated a delivery man to steal his motorcycle and thus escape.

In videos broadcast on social networks, the bodyguard can be seen speaking with the officers and explaining the facts, collaborating at all times with the authorities.

Several people can also be seen approaching the injured criminal, some stating that he was still alive. A police patrol took him to a nearby hospital, where it was confirmed that he arrived without vital signs.

The Metropolitan Police of Cúcuta carried out the technical inspection at the scene and is carrying out the investigation. The two abandoned motorcycles are key in the case and, together with the identification of the deceased criminal, it is hoped to clarify the facts and capture the two escaped accomplices.
