A man of American nationality was arrested on the beaches of Puerto Colombia, Atlántico, after violently resisting the intervention of the police officers who were trying to control him.
The individual, who was carrying a bottle and was excited, got into the cab of a truck, which made it difficult for the agents to stop him.
Although the police officers had a taser at their disposal, they decided not to use it for fear that the man could be injured when he fell from the cab of the truck.
After several failed attempts, the agents managed to control the subject by means of several electric shocks, and finally put the handcuffs on him to transfer him to the police station.
Police intervention was necessary to prevent the man from causing harm to third parties or himself.
Now, it is expected that the circumstances that led this individual to behave in this way will be investigated and the corresponding measures will be applied.
