Family of murdered motorcycle taxi driver demands investigation: They assure that he was not a criminal

They claim that the police operation was a mistake, the defense lawyer presents another version of the events

In a tragic event in the Comunero neighborhood of Bucaramanga, Anderson Donaldo Rangel Capacho, a 37-year-old motorcycle taxi driver, lost his life in the middle of a police operation. The Bucaramanga Police stated that Rangel tried to escape after being intercepted in a 'Plan Padlock' against theft, related to the theft of a cell phone by two men in the area.

The relatives of Anderson Donaldo Rangel Capacho expressed their dismay and denied that he was a criminal. They claim that he worked as a motorcycle taxi driver, he was the father of three children and had no criminal record, contradicting the official version of the Police.

A relative of Rangel Capacho stated: "They shot and killed him by mistake, I ask for justice." Lawyer Flor Alba Cely, legal representative of the family, declared that Rangel Camacho was not involved in criminal acts and that the police operation was a procedural error.

According to Cely, Rangel, upon realizing the police presence and an operation in progress, tried to evade the situation by driving the wrong way. It was then that, according to the lawyer, he was shot in the back. She emphasized that neither Rangel nor another individual involved, Jhon Édgar Hernández Fajardo, had stolen items or weapons in his possession.

In response to the allegations, the authorities revealed a video that shows two men stealing a cell phone in the Modelo neighborhood. The driver of the motorcycle, with characteristics similar to Rangel, matches the circumstances of the robbery. However, the family insists that the police operation was a mistake and demands a thorough investigation.
