Wilfrido Coronado, former director of Tránsito de Soledad, was in his truck after leaving Banco de Bogotá in the Plaza del Sol shopping center, when he was approached by two motorcycle thieves on the street of the Cruz de Mayo neighborhood in Soledad.
The robbers intimidated him with a firearm and demanded that he hand over the money he had withdrawn from the bank, but Coronado reacted quickly and shot in his defense. The criminals also fired a shot, but fortunately, they did not hit the former official.
Coronado told Zona Zero that the thieves had followed him from the bank, but thanks to his quick action, he managed to prevent the robbery. The events occurred last Tuesday, May 4, and although the circumstances were known, only until today, Friday, May 12, were the videos from the security cameras of the sector where the events occurred.
This case is an example of the importance of being alert to possible risk situations and having the ability to act in self-defense when it comes to personal integrity and security.
