Two trans women captured for extorting a man with an intimate video in Urabá

The amount demanded amounted to 300,000 pesos not to publish the video on social networks

In a joint operation between the Urabá Gaula and the Military Gaula, the capture of two transgender women was achieved in the urban area of Carepa, Urabá, Antioquia. The detainees, identified by the identity names of Katty Fendy and Eva Maria, were extorting money from a 45-year-old man through WhatsApp.

According to Captain Marcela Cárcamo Castaño, commander in charge of the Gaula Urabá Group, the women demanded a sum of money from the man to prevent the dissemination of an alleged intimate video in which he would have participated. The amount demanded was 300,000 pesos.

The victim decided to report the case to the Gaula, which coordinated a controlled delivery to capture the extortionists at the moment they received the requested money.

Thanks to the probative material presented by the Prosecutor's Office, a guarantee control judge issued an insurance measure in the prison against both women for the crime of aggravated extortion.

The authorities highlighted the importance of reporting these types of cases and reminded the public that the Gaula is willing to provide support and protection in extortion situations.

They also emphasized the importance of not giving in to the pressure of extortionists and reporting any blackmail attempt.

With the capture of these two trans women, the aim is to send a clear message that extortion will not be tolerated in the Urabá region and it is hoped that this case will serve as an example to prevent and combat this type of crime in the future.
