Alias ​​Kidnapping is killed in Rionegro, is linked to the Tren de Aragua

A new act of violence shook the municipality of Rionegro, located in eastern Antioquia. On the morning of last Friday, September 6, a man identified as Ramón Arístides Sánchez Duque was shot dead at the entrance of a gym in the town of San Antonio de Pereira. The attack also left two people injured.

The events occurred at 9:20 a.m., when two men arrived at a commercial establishment near the gym. They sat at tables after ordering bottles of water and, while they talked, they waited for their victim, Ramón Arístides Sánchez Duque, a Venezuelan citizen who had already acquired Colombian nationality.

When Sánchez Duque began to climb the stairs leading to the gym, the two individuals pulled out firearms and shot him at point-blank range, ending his life on the spot.

The attack also left two more people injured, including an empanada vendor who was hit by a stray bullet. Both injured people were taken to a nearby health center, where they are receiving medical attention.

The perpetrators of the crime quickly fled on motorcycles, an action that was captured by the establishment's security cameras.

While the authorities advance in the investigation, worrying details have emerged about the victim. Ramón Arístides Sánchez Duque was known by the alias "Secuestro" and, according to judicial sources, was part of the Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan criminal organization with operations in several Latin American countries, under the leadership of Héctor Rusthenford Guerrero Flores, alias "Niño Guerrero."
