Celebrity Basketball Tournament Canceled After Twerking Video Controversy

The celebrity basketball tournament Nuttin But Azz was canceled after a twerking dance

Newark, NJ — The anticipated celebrity basketball tournament, "Nuttin' But Azz," scheduled for July 21, has been canceled following a controversy sparked by its promotional video. The event, which promised intense competition among four teams for a $10,000 prize, faced backlash due to the appearance of women twerking in thongs in the West Side High Rough Rider school gymnasium.

The promotional video was produced by Big Fendi, a well-known music manager and party promoter, famous for discovering rapper Nicki Minaj. Tickets for the tournament ranged from $50 to $500.

The school community and parents quickly expressed their disapproval of the video's content, leading to the event's cancellation. In an Instagram video, Big Fendi apologized to the community and the citizens of Newark, expressing regret for any offense caused.
