A family faces a painful tragedy: the father of a missing young woman died of a heart attack due to the anguish of not knowing where she was
In Palenque, Chiapas, a family is experiencing a heartbreaking mix of relief and grief after María Fernanda Cabrera Soberano, a 15-year-old girl, disappeared on March 6, resulting in the death of her father, Carlos Jesús Cabrera Ramírez.
María Fernanda was last seen in the Paraíso Pakal neighborhood, prompting her family to report her disappearance to the Prosecutor's Office.
An Amber Alert was immediately issued with report number AACS0077/2025, highlighting that the teenager could be in danger. The alert quickly circulated on social media and local media, sparking an intense search.
As the hours passed without any news of the minor, concern turned into unbearable anguish for Carlos Jesús, who suffered a sudden heart attack on March 7.
The family confirmed that the man, unable to bear the uncertainty, experienced a critical deterioration in his health that ultimately took his life.
La Económica Funeral Home confirmed the death, sending its condolences: "We express our most sincere condolences for the sensitive passing of Mr. Carlos Jesús Cabrera Ramírez."
An Unexpected Return
On March 8, after two days of disappearance, María Fernanda returned home safe and sound, revealing that she had left of her own free will to be with a young man. The Prosecutor's Office, after verifying her condition, officially closed the alert, updating her status to "located."
However, the family now faces a new kind of grief, dealing with the irreparable loss of Carlos Jesús, who never saw his daughter return.
