María Isabel Hernández, mother of soccer player Carlos Salcedo, has identified him as the “intellectual author” of the murder of her sister. The accusation was made through a publication on Instagram, where María Isabel demanded justice for her daughter and declared that both Carlos and his wife, Andrea Navarro, are involved in the crime. “The real reason why Carlos Salcedo wants to leave the country is because he and his wife Andrea Navarro are the intellectual authors of Paola's murder,” she stated.
The murder of Paola Salcedo occurred on June 29 in Huixquilucan, State of Mexico, when she was attacked with bullets while leaving a circus. Although she was taken to the hospital, she did not survive her injuries. This fact has been the subject of investigation by the Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico (FGJ Edomex), which will now include María Isabel's public statements in the case file.
The news has had a significant impact on Carlos Salcedo's career. The player has requested his departure from Cruz Azul, alleging family problems and expressing his desire to continue his career in Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States.
