Violent altercation leaves three people injured after being run over

In an event in the city of Rewari, India, three people were seriously injured after being run over by a white jeep in the middle of a violent altercation at a car service station. The event took place around 2:30 pm on Thursday, April 25, according to local police.

According to police reports, the altercation began when a group of approximately ten people got out of a Bolero Camper jeep and began beating Shubham, who was at the gas station with his friends Vedpal and Dharmender. When they intervened to defend his friend, Vedpal and Dharmender were also attacked by the group.

The situation escalated quickly when the alleged main assailant, identified as Harender, a resident of Ateli Begpur village, boarded his vehicle and attacked Shubham and Vedpal with the intention of causing them fatal harm, according to the complaint filed by Dharmender.

The violent act left Vedpal with fractures in his spine, hands and legs, and he was rushed to a private hospital in Rewari for specialized treatment. Shubham and a third person not involved in the altercation were also injured and are being treated in the hospital, recovering favorably.

Authorities have taken legal action against Harender and nine others involved in the altercation, registering an FIR at Khol police station under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including rioting, causing voluntary damage and criminal threats.

The incident was captured by a CCTV camera installed in a nearby shop, making it easier to identify the accused and conduct raids for their capture, according to Sub-Inspector Surender Singh.
