A speeding car kills three people

Bouradi, Uttarakhand, India: In a tragic accident in Bouradi, Tehri district, a woman and two girls were fatally knocked down by a speeding car. The vehicle was driven by Devi Prasad Chamoli, in-charge of Jakhnidhar Development Block, who has been arrested.

The incident took place at New Tehri district headquarters when Reena Negi, 36, and her nieces Agrima, 10, and Anvita, 7, were walking on the side of the road.

A car approached at high speed, and despite the victims' attempts to avoid it, they were run over. The woman died instantly, while the girls were rushed to hospital, where they unfortunately died during treatment.

The dramatic accident was captured by a closed-circuit television camera installed in the area, which facilitated the identification and subsequent arrest of the driver.

In addition, two other people were slightly injured after being trapped under the vehicle.

Authorities have confirmed that the deceased were local residents who were taking a night walk at the time of the accident.
