Authorities are investigating the connection with the murder of his brother, which occurred 34 days earlier

In a regrettable event, on the afternoon of Friday, July 26, a man was killed while enjoying a meal at a fish market located in Parrita, Puntarenas, Costa Rica. The victim, Arnold Arroyo Guillén, 29 years old, a well-known surfer in the area, was eating a soup at the "Pescadería y Picaduras La Bendición Parrita" when he was attacked.

The event, captured by a security camera, shows two men arriving at the place on a motorcycle. One of them got out of the vehicle and went to a specific table, opening fire against the young man who was sitting, receiving a bullet impact in the head. The speed of the attack left those present in a state of shock and panic.

The witnesses, terrified by the act, reacted immediately by fleeing the scene. Among those present was another young man, sitting in front of the victim, who did not realize what was happening until he heard the shots. In a matter of seconds, he decided to escape, like many others, due to the fear and confusion generated by the event.

This tragic event adds to another recent tragedy for the Arroyo Guillén family. Arnold's brother, Steven Arroyo Guillén, 32, was murdered on July 3 in Parrita, in a car wash located in front of the MaxiPalí.

According to the director of the OIJ, Randall Zúñiga, that day four men arrived in a vehicle at the premises, where two of them got out and fired with high-caliber weapons, resulting in the death of Steven and another man, as well as a third person injured.

Authorities are investigating the cause of Arnold's murder and the possible connection to the death of his brother Steven, which occurred just 34 days earlier.
