Criminal police murder young man in revenge for insults

A 23-year-old man was murdered in a slot store by a criminal police officer seeking revenge

In a tragic event that occurred in the Pampulha region, in Belo Horizonte, David Alexandre Castorino Moreira, 23, was shot dead in a Jogo do Bicho (slot machine) store. The main suspect in the crime is a criminal police officer, who, according to the Military Police (PM), sought to avenge the insults uttered by the victim towards his wife and daughter.

The murder was captured by the establishment's security cameras. In the images, David is seen sitting, using his cell phone, when the aggressor enters the store, takes out his gun and attacks him with rifle butts.

David gets up and begins an argument with the suspect, even hitting one of his hands. In response, the attacker shoots David, wounding him in the arm. After looking at his wound, the young man is shot two more times, falling to the ground while the attacker flees.

The Police Report (BO) reveals that Ana Carolina Lopes, David's ex-girlfriend and witness to the event, reported that the victim had been flirting with a friend of hers, the daughter of the aggressor, shortly after ending their relationship.

The messages sent through social networks unleashed a series of insults, in which David called the young woman a "b1tch" and her mother, the criminal police officer's wife, a "b1tch."

Full of anger upon learning of these insults towards his family, the 43-year-old criminal police officer decided to confront David in the slot machine store, culminating in the fatal outcome.

David Alexandre Castorino Moreira was shot with a .40 caliber pistol, with wounds to the chest, abdomen and upper limbs. Despite the quick intervention of Samu, the young man was declared dead at the scene.

Gleisson Moreira, the victim's father, expressed his pain and confusion in an interview with a local media: "My boy had not told me anything about the argument. He was a good boy, very hard-working. Nothing justifies taking a life like that for a useless argument.”

Raquel Cristina Castorino Porto, David's aunt, also shared her outrage: "He didn't act on impulse. He didn't have a threat against his daughter that would make him have to go there to get revenge. To me, he really is a criminal. He could have gone there speaking, but he came armed. My nephew did not die like a coward, he died like a man.”

To date, the criminal police officer involved in this event is a fugitive and the authorities continue to thoroughly investigate the case.
