Controversial video of Alberto Fernández and Tamara Pettinato in the presidential office

The appearance of a video of Alberto Fernández with Tamara Pettinato generates controversy after the complaint by Fabiola Yañez

A video of former Argentine president Alberto Fernández with columnist Tamara Pettinato has caused a stir on social media. In the images, filmed in the presidential office of the Casa Rosada, both talk and joke about their relationship. This video comes a few days after the former first lady, Fabiola Yañez, denounced the former president for gender violence.

In the video, which came to light last Thursday, Tamara Pettinato, daughter of the well-known musician and host Roberto Pettinato, jokes saying: "Today we are cutting off our friendship after so many years." The conversation, marked by a humorous tone, includes comments about the friendship they share, with Pettinato stating that she will always love the former president. Laughing, the columnist also comments: "I think we are in love in another way... Lie," which causes Fernández to laugh.

This meeting has fueled controversy due to Pettinato's previous visits to Quinta de Olivos during Fernández's presidency, in full isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During 2020, Tamara was seen in Olivos with other personalities such as Florencia Peña, Úrsula Vargues and Sofía Pacchi. These visits generated criticism and questions about their nature and compliance with the health restrictions in force at the time.

In response to the criticism, Pettinato declared on a radio program: "I understand people's anger at who entered and left Olivos during the quarantine. I went to Quinta de Olivos for a personal matter, I am not going to say what we talked about because it was something private." The columnist also criticized the verbal violence she received after the broadcast of these visits and stressed that it should not be necessary for her to explain every detail of her actions.

The broadcast of the video coincides with Fabiola Yañez's recent complaint against Alberto Fernández for alleged gender violence. According to the complaint, Yañez would have suffered physical aggression and harassment by Fernández during her stay at the presidential residence in Olivos. The former first lady is currently in Spain, from where she is closely following the development of the legal case.

Yañez's complaint is being investigated by a prosecutor's office specialized in gender violence, which has reviewed photos, videos and audios found on the cell phone of a former secretary of Fernández, María Cantero, as part of the investigation.
