Woman throws her disabled son into a river full of crocodiles

An act of apparent desperation has shocked residents of Karnataka, India, when a heartless mother threw her disabled 6-year-old son into a river full of crocodiles.

The chilling action, attributed to the alleged demands of her husband, has left the child lifeless, with bite marks and bruises.

According to local reports, Savitri Kumar, the boy's mother, has blamed her husband, Ravi Kumar, 27, for inciting the crime. She alleges that Ravi insisted that she "throw the child away" because of her complaints that "all he does is eat."

This act has revealed a tragic family history marked by contempt towards her eldest son, Vinod, who was born deaf and mute.

Tension between the couple over their eldest son's speech impediment has been a recurring theme in their disputes, and it is believed that the argument over this issue led Savitri to commit the crime.

Eyewitnesses called the police when they saw Savitri throw her child into the waste canal that flows into the crocodile-infested Kali River.

Despite police efforts to find the child at night, her body was discovered the next morning. Authorities have called the case a "murder" and have arrested both parents as the investigation continues.

The autopsy is expected to reveal more details about the boy's cause of death.
