Woman accused in Camila's disappearance dies

On March 27, the Taxco community was shaken by the disappearance of Camila, an eight-year-old girl, whose trace was lost after entering the home of her neighbors, the parents of her best friend, with the promise of enjoying of a dip in a pool, everything was recorded on a security camera.

Camila's kidnappers contacted her family and demanded a ransom of 250 thousand pesos for the girl's release.

The authorities identified Ana Rosa Díaz Aguilar, neighbor and mother of Camila's best friend, as one of the people involved in the girl's kidnapping, along with her husband, her taxi driver. Who appeared in a security video carrying a black bag in the car.

After hours of desperate searching, hope faded when Camila's body was found lifeless on a road to the community of Zacapalco on March 28.

The fury of the population was unleashed against Ana Rosa and two men related to the case, when they were at her home. The angry mob brutally beat them, despite the authorities' efforts to stop the lynching.

Ana Rosa suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital, where she died. The two men were also injured and are in police custody at the hospital.

Update

In a few hours, a second death was confirmed, corresponding to the second person involved, who would be the son of Ana Rosa Díaz Aguilar, identified as Alfredo Estrada, his body succumbed to the injuries from the beating.
