Motorcyclist loses life in accident during a clandestine race

In the city of Merlo, Argentina, last Saturday, June 15, a tragic accident on Eva Perón Avenue claimed the life of Matías Adrián Dibastiani, a man passionate about motorcycles. Matías, 35, lost control of his motorcycle Kawasaki Ninja while competing with other motorcyclists, fatally crashing into a light pole.

A Fatal Mistake

In a video captured by a security camera, it is observed how Matías and two other motorcyclists were traveling at high speed. Suddenly, Matías lost control of his motorcycle, falling to the ground and hitting a light pole hard, resulting in his instant death.

Research and Testimonials

The first investigations by Merlo's Prosecutor's Office No. 4 initially suggested the possibility of a homicide, but after reviewing the footage, it was concluded that it was a road accident. Matías, affectionately known as "Maty" by his family and friends, was participating in an informal race with other motorcyclists when the fateful accident occurred.

A witness to the crash, who lamented the tragedy through social networks, provided his testimony, helping to clarify the facts.

Farewell to Family and Friends

Matías's body could not withstand the strong impact, and he died instantly. His friends and family, deeply affected, said goodbye to him with emotional messages on social networks. His sister Karina published a photo with him on a motorcycle with the message: "I'm going to miss you every day, brother." His uncle Claudio also expressed his sadness: "How sad. I will always remember you like this, my nephew, my friend, my buddy."

The drag race group to which Matías belonged, called "El Picado", suspended its activities as a sign of respect and mourning for the loss of its member.
