Jealous man kills friend in street in Turkey

A tragic incident occurred in Bayramiç, Çanakkale, when Serdar Varol was arrested for the murder of his friend Özgür Scale. The incident occurred at around 9:00 pm on November 2, on Vatan Street in Camicedit district. Varol, who had a grudge against Scale, reportedly shot his friend while he was walking down the street talking on his mobile phone.

Security cameras at a nearby shop captured the exact moment Serdar Varol shot Özgür Scale, leaving him wounded on the ground.

After running out of bullets, Varol used the handle of his gun to repeatedly hit Scale's head, who was lying covered in blood.

Police teams and medical personnel rushed to the scene and transferred the victim to a nearby hospital, but sadly, Özgür Scale died despite medical efforts.

The investigation revealed that Serdar Varol acted on suspicion that Scale, who worked in a cheese factory and was a father of two children, was having an affair with his ex-wife.

Varol had been divorced just 10 days ago, which would have exacerbated the previous conflicts. After turning himself in to the police, the suspect was arrested and taken to court after completing the paperwork at the police station, where his arrest was ordered.

Özgür Scale's funeral was held at the Çarşı Mosque in central Bayramiç and his body was buried at the district cemetery after the afternoon prayer.
