Minor disappears in Tijuana after being deceived by a 33-year-old man

Jennifer Fernanda, 15, disappeared in Tijuana after being deceived by a 33-year-old man through social networks

Jennifer Fernanda Camacho Osobampo, a 15-year-old girl, disappeared on January 29 in Tijuana, Baja California. According to complaints from her relatives and the National Collective 50+1, the teenager had been manipulated through social networks by a 33-year-old man identified as "Óscar", who convinced her to leave her home.

According to the information gathered, Jennifer met Óscar through Facebook, where the man gained her trust and they later continued communicating via WhatsApp. Through messages, the subject expressed his "love" and pressured her to run away with him, giving her specific instructions on how to leave the house without being detected.

Among the messages revealed by the young woman's family, Oscar told her: "Go to school and leave the chip in the trash can, so they know you're there." In another conversation, the man wrote to her: "When you leave for recess, I'll wait for you at the bus terminal that's further down the road. Take your papers, but I need you to go there as soon as you leave recess."

The family also discovered that Oscar claims to live in Culiacán, Sinaloa, according to information on his Facebook account. However, some sources indicate that he could live in Puebla.

In light of this case, the National Collective 50+1 issued a statement denouncing a "presumed case of manipulation" and warning about the vulnerability of children and adolescents to digital violence and exploitation.

The Baja California State Search Commission issued a search notice to find Jennifer. Family and friends have shared her image on social media and are asking for any information that will help locate her.
