The early morning of Monday, November 25 was tinged with tragedy in Sullana, Piura, when Carlos Alberto Golles Juárez, a 31-year-old security guard, was murdered while carrying out his work at the door of the Goeh nightclub, located on Champagnat Avenue. The local population demands justice and greater security in the face of the growing violence in the region.
According to witnesses, an individual, dressed in a white polo shirt, approached the security guard and shot him repeatedly without warning. Golles Juárez suffered serious injuries to the head, chest and thigh.
His partner, who witnessed the attack, immediately took him to the Apoyo II-2 hospital, where, despite medical efforts, he died due to the severity of his injuries.
The incident was captured by the security cameras of the place, which will be key in the investigations. The National Police of Peru (PNP), through the Plan Cerco operation, managed to arrest a 14-year-old minor identified as the alleged perpetrator of the crime.
At the time of his capture, the teenager had in his possession a Glock 25 pistol, used in the attack, as well as a cell phone that could contain relevant information.
Initial investigations indicate that the minor would be linked to the criminal organization "Los Augutos", a criminal group known in Sullana for its violence. Currently, the minor remains in custody at the headquarters of the Criminal Investigation Division (Depincri), facing charges of homicide and possible connections to illicit activities in the region.
It is hoped that local authorities will be able to clarify the motives behind this crime.
