Young man survives a fall from a vehicle bridge: Story of the fight against depression

This is not the first attempt by the young woman, who has faced emotional crises over time

In a shocking event recorded in Mexico City, a young woman identified as Fátima 'N', 19 years old, survived a fall from the top of a vehicular bridge in the El Parque neighborhood, Venustiano Carranza mayor's office. This Tuesday, February 6, elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security were alerted about the presence of the young woman on the ledge of the distributor at the intersection of Francisco del Paso and Troncoso avenues and Zaragoza road.

According to local reports, this is not the young woman's first attempt to take her own life. In a video shared on social networks, Fátima is shown at the top of the bridge while police elements coordinated the arrival of emergency services.

The young woman threw herself from a height of approximately 17 meters despite several police officers and her father holding her arms, resulting in multiple trauma to her legs, although hip fractures were ruled out. She quickly received medical attention and was transferred to Balbuena Hospital to continue her treatment.

The incident was reported to the Public Ministry to carry out the corresponding investigations. According to the media, this is not the first time that Fátima has tried to make an attempt on her life. In a previous incident, the quick intervention of police and citizens prevented her from jumping off a bridge.

It was revealed that Fátima suffers from a depressive crisis and epileptic seizures. On her first attempt, her father, a 56-year-old man, took her to her home in the Venustiano Carranza mayor's office. At that time, it was reported that the father was directed to receive medical and psychological support for his daughter.
