Young computer scientist dies after falling into a water sinkhole

In a sad and senseless incident in Hyderabad, India, a young software professional lost his life after falling into a water sinkhole at Shanmukh Men's PG Hostel, Anjaiah Nagar, Gachibowli. The victim, identified as Shaik Akmal Sufuyan, 25, worked in a private company and resided in the aforementioned shelter.

According to police reports, on Sunday morning, Akmal was returning from the market and was heading to his room when he unfortunately slipped into an open sinkhole, resulting in his tragic death. The building's surveillance cameras captured the moment of the incident, showing Akmal entering the building and slipping into the sinkhole, which was more than 10 feet (3 meters) deep.

Despite a child's efforts to report the incident to an adult, who unsuccessfully attempted to inspect the sinkhole, the tragic accident took the life of the young software engineer. CCTV footage of the incident spread across various social media platforms, going viral in no time.

Akmal's body was later recovered and shifted to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident and a case has been registered against hostel director K Madhusudhan Reddy for negligence.
