Young man was run over and shot but survives attack by Paraguayan hitmen

In an event that seems straight out of an action movie, a 22-year-old Brazilian man, identified as Luiz Henrique de Almeida, miraculously managed to survive an attack perpetrated by Paraguayan hitmen in the city of Foz de Iguazú, Brazil.

The brutal attack took place in the Jardín Atlantis neighborhood, behind the local penitentiary, and was recorded by security cameras. According to the images, Almeida was boarding his vehicle when he was hit by a Volkswagen Fox car with a fake Brazilian license plate. Immediately afterwards, two hitmen got out of the vehicle and began shooting at him.

Despite having been run over and receiving two bullet wounds, one in the arm and another in the face, Almeida managed to run away and was helped by a medical team that took him to the municipal hospital of Foz de Iguazú.

The Paraguayan hitmen tried to pursue Almeida after he fled, but were repelled by gunshots from unknown individuals. The vehicle used in the attack was abandoned in a corn plantation, where Paraguayan license plates were found.

Authorities found bullet holes in the vehicle and traces of blood, suggesting that some of the gunmen were also injured in the exchange of gunfire.

Brazilian police have launched an investigation. At the moment, Almeida is recovering from his injuries in the hospital.
