Cariacica, ES - A fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 10 on Avenida José Sette, in Cariacica, Gran Vitória region, when a couple traveling on a motorcycle collided with a car, resulting in the death of Beatriz Santos Silva, an 18-year-old girl.

The accident was captured by security cameras in the area and shows the motorcyclist, Thearlly Feu Santana, 20, performing reckless maneuvers with Beatriz, while both were traveling. The motorcycle was moving at high speed through the narrow space between vehicles when it lost control, causing Beatriz to be thrown into an oncoming car.

After the impact, the motorcyclist collided with the steel door of a store and broke the glass of a nearby cafeteria. Neighbors and passersby rushed to help them, while the Mobile Emergency Service (SAMU) took them to the São Lucas State Emergency and Urgent Care Hospital (HEUE). Unfortunately, Beatriz died inside the ambulance due to the severity of her injuries.

According to the Military Police, he already had a criminal record for drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons. He will be transferred to the Viana Triage Center (CTV) after being discharged from the hospital, accused of negligent homicide and reckless driving, charges that could aggravate his legal situation due to his previous history.

The driver of the car involved was also subjected to an alcohol test that was negative and was released after making a statement. The motorcycle was confiscated by the authorities.

Beatriz's body was transferred to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) in Vitória, where the autopsy was performed before being handed over to her family. On social media, it was discovered that the couple used to share videos in which they performed dangerous maneuvers on motorcycles, which generated outrage and a call for greater control over these behaviors on public roads.
