Influencer Suffers Severe Headache During Live Stream and Dies Minutes Later
The incident occurred in front of her followers during a live stream and ended in a fatal medical emergency
A Chinese influencer died at the age of 39 after suffering a sudden medical emergency while live streaming in front of her followers.
The woman was identified as Wang Yefei, known online as “Sister Wang Zha.” She had approximately 130,000 followers on her social media accounts, who regularly tuned in to her live streams where she showcased and sold clothing.
The incident occurred on March 9, 2026, during one of her regular live streams. About half an hour after starting the live stream, the influencer began to show signs of illness. In the video, she was seen touching her head and neck while saying she had a severe headache.
As the minutes passed, her condition worsened. During the live stream, she pleaded for help and asked someone to call 120, the emergency number for ambulances in China. She also managed to say that she felt like she might faint.
According to reports, the entire incident lasted just over ten minutes. Shortly afterward, the live stream ended abruptly, and Wang was rushed to a nearby hospital. However, doctors confirmed her death shortly after her arrival.
Medical reports indicated that the cause of death was a brainstem hemorrhage, an extremely serious type of brain bleeding that can lead to a rapid decline in vital functions.
After the news broke, followers and acquaintances left numerous farewell messages on her social media. The influencer worked selling clothes through live streams and, according to local media, frequently engaged in these activities to support her family.
The funeral was held in China's Shanxi province, where family members, including her husband and daughter, attended the service.
