A series of tragic accidents have brought mourning to a family in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Jair Guimarães Feliciano Júnior, 43, lost his life on Friday, February 28, after throwing himself in front of a truck on the BR-101, in Guarus, a few days after his wife and daughter died in a serious traffic accident in Cardoso Moreira.
Witnesses reported that Jair stopped his motorcycle near the second walkway, near Parque Novo Mundo, and suddenly launched himself against a moving truck.
The impact was fatal and his body was taken to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) in Campos dos Goytacazes.
The incident shocked the population strongly, as it occurred just three days after his wife, Priscila Mello da Silva Feliciano, 38, and his daughter Hillary da Silva Feliciano, 10, died in an accident in the district of São Joaquim, in Cardoso Moreira, last Tuesday, February 25.
The accident of his wife and daughter
The first accident occurred at kilometer 32 of the RJ-204, when the vehicle in which Priscila and Hillary were traveling, a silver VW Voyage, lost control after a curve, crashed into a tree and caught fire.
Both died on the spot, while the driver of the car, a 44-year-old man, was rescued with serious injuries and taken to the São José Salgueiro hospital. Another occupant of the vehicle, a 19-year-old woman, was treated on the spot and released without serious injuries.
The bodies of Priscila and Hillary were taken to the IML of Itaperuna, and the case was registered at the 148th Police Station of Italva.
