Man dies of heart attack after being burned at a barbecue

In an unfortunate event that occurred on Tuesday, July 30, in the district of Hasanoğlan, Elmadağ, Turkey, a board member of the Central Union of Credit and Guarantee Cooperatives of Traders and Craftsmen of Turkey (TESKOMB), Turan Yapıcı, died after a tragic accident during a barbecue with friends. The event took place around 8:00 p.m. in the garden of a wedding hall that Yapıcı managed.

The tragedy began when Yapıcı, who was trying to light a barbecue, used gel fuel.

Unfortunately, the container he was holding exploded, causing the flames to overtake him. His friends quickly helped him remove the clothes that had caught fire, while bystanders used a fire extinguisher to put out the fire.

Even though Yapıcı only suffered minor burns, the shock of the experience was too much for his heart to bear.

While on his way to the hospital for medical attention, he suffered a heart attack. Despite medical efforts to revive him, Yapıcı could not be saved.

The event was recorded by nearby security cameras, capturing the harrowing moments after the explosion. Following his passing, Turan Yapıcı's body was buried.
