Man dies from accidental shooting in Ankara

Ankara - Türkiye. A tragic event shook the Birlik district of Çankaya in Ankara, Turkey, when Kerim Yücel, 45, died after accidentally shooting himself in the head while doing a live broadcast on his social networks.

The event occurred in the early hours of July 11, around 05:00, when Yücel, apparently under the influence of alcohol, was handling a gun and, without realizing it, pulled the trigger, seriously injuring himself.

Friends close to the deceased, such as Savaş Koç, expressed their shock and sadness. Koç commented: "Kerim was a friend from the neighborhood. We do not believe that he intended to harm himself. Alcohol probably played an important role in this tragic accident. He was a good person, without conflicts with anyone, but he consumed alcohol."

Yücel was rushed to the hospital, where he remained in the intensive care unit.

Unfortunately, he did not manage to survive his injuries. His funeral took place at the Karşıyaka Cemetery, after the necessary forensic procedures.

Kerim Yücel, who worked as a courier, leaves a void in his friends and family.
