Man kills wife during argument in Lao Cai

Police in Lao Cai province in Vietnam are conducting an urgent investigation into a tragic incident that occurred on the evening of August 5 in Ta Chải commune, Bắc Hà district, which resulted in the death of a woman.

In the evening, a leader of the People's Committee reported that a serious incident occurred at around 3:39 p.m. at the home of Mr. Bùi Văn C, born in 1966, and resident in Na Kim Village, Ta Chải Commune, near the Bac Ha Fruit and Vegetable Farm.

The attacker, identified as Bùi Mạnh C, aged 30, attacked his wife, identified as H, aged 27, with a knife, inflicting several wounds. The victim fell seriously injured on the spot. After the first attack, the attacker entered the house and returned to continue his act, dragging the victim inside the house to continue assaulting her.

Despite the efforts of her family to immediately take her to the hospital, unfortunately Mrs. H did not survive.

The suspect was arrested by the authorities of Bắc Hà district in collaboration with the Lào Cai provincial police. According to neighbours, the attacker and the victim were a couple and had a child together. The man worked as a pig butcher. In the family environment, arguments and conflicts between the two were frequent.

So far, the motive behind this tragic event has not been clarified and the authorities are still investigating.
