Man ended the life of his family due to economic desperation

In a horrific event that has shocked the population of Lahore, Pakistan, a poor man identified as Sajjad Khokhar has committed an atrocious act by ending the life of his wife and his seven children. According to police reports, Khokhar, who worked as a laborer, used an ax to carry out the terrible crime in the Pakistani province of Punjab.

The victims include his wife Kausar, 42, and his children, four girls and three boys, ranging in age from eight months to ten years. They all lost their lives instantly, leaving a trail of devastation and pain.

The police have revealed that the suspect, Sajjad Khokhar, was dealing with serious financial problems that had led him to a state of deep desperation. Several days without food and frequent arguments with his wife apparently exacerbated his emotional distress, leading him to commit this senseless act.

Following the horrific crime, Khokhar was arrested by the authorities and a case has been filed against him. The accused reportedly admitted to having committed the crime, arguing that he could no longer provide food for his children, a claim that has stunned many in the population.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has expressed her deep sorrow over this tragedy and has sought a detailed report from the Inspector General of Police to clarify the details of this harrowing event.
