The end of Nicolás Maduro? Erik Prince sets September 16 as a key date

Erik Prince, founder of Blackwater, announces September 16 as a key date for the freedom of the people of Venezuela

Erik Prince, founder of the controversial private military company Blackwater, has generated a strong international stir by announcing a key date for Venezuela: September 16. Through a video retweeted on his X account (formerly Twitter), Prince has hinted at a highly significant event that has fueled the #YaCasiVenezuela trend, hinting at a possible radical change in the Nicolás Maduro regime.

Prince's message, accompanied by the text "Stay tuned all freedom-loving Venezuelans. More to come soon...", suggests that an "unstoppable movement" has begun in Venezuela and that "game over" for Maduro's government. These statements have unleashed a whirlwind of speculation, from a social uprising to a possible international intervention. The clip also includes phrases such as "this time it will be different," which has increased tensions in the country.

The already tense political situation in Venezuela became even more complicated when Ivan Simonovis, a former political prisoner and prominent Venezuelan criminal investigator, revealed a meeting between Erik Prince and Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele. This meeting, which occurred about a month ago, has sparked rumors about a possible cooperation between the two to end the Maduro regime. According to Diosdado Cabello, a senior Chavista leader, Bukele could be financing Prince to carry out a covert operation against the Venezuelan government.

As international media and analysts focus their attention on Venezuela, speculation is mounting about what will actually happen on September 16. Despite the growing nervousness, Nicolás Maduro and his government have not made any official statements on the matter nor issued any new orders to the Venezuelan National Guard.

Erik Prince is a controversial figure in the private security arena. Born on June 6, 1969 in Holland, Michigan, Prince founded Blackwater in 1997, a private military company that gained notoriety during the Iraq War, when it was contracted by the United States government. Blackwater was also the center of controversy in 2007, when agents of the company were involved in the deaths of 17 Iraqi civilians in Baghdad.

With September 16 approaching, uncertainty about Venezuela's future continues to increase, and the eyes of the world are focused on what could be a momentous event for the South American nation.
