Delhi, India. Two men, Sonu and Ashish, tragically lost their lives in a violent episode that occurred at a parlor in Najafgarh area of southwest Delhi. Both, around 30 years old, were shot to death inside the room, spreading panic among those present, according to the police report on Friday.
Authorities reported that Sonu suffered a single gunshot wound to the head, while Ashish was shot three times in the head and once in the chest. The shocking incident was witnessed by other customers and salon workers. A CCTV recording of the incident circulated on social media, capturing the moment one of the victims pleaded with the attackers moments before being shot at point-blank range.
The police have identified the alleged perpetrators of the crime as Sanjeev Dahiya alias Sanju and Harsh alias Chintu. Both were accused of being responsible for the death of Ashish and Sonu in Najafgarh's Indira Park. The victims, who initially came to the salon for a simple haircut, found themselves caught in a violent situation without warning.
According to official sources, it is suspected that the dispute between the accused and the victims was triggered by an abusive publication on social networks.
Although the police are yet to confirm the details, Sanjeev Dahiya is believed to be practicing as a lawyer in a court in Delhi, although this information is pending verification. On the other hand, Harsh alias Chintu, brother of jailed gangster Yogesh Tunda, was recently released from prison on bail.
Investigators are working hard to arrest the accused.
