Ten criminals ambush a couple and shoot them more than 50 times

On the night of Monday, August 26, a couple was the victim of an armed attack in the Maraponga neighborhood, in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil. While leaving a condominium on Rua Itacira, they were ambushed by a group of ten armed criminals, who shot them repeatedly, causing their death on the spot.

The crime was recorded by the security cameras of the residence, where it is observed how the aggressors, armed with pistols, open fire on the victims' vehicle shortly after they left the condominium.

The man, who was driving the car with his companion on the side, tried to flee when he noticed the presence of one of the criminals who approached the vehicle shooting. In his attempt to escape, he ran over a motorcyclist who was arriving at the scene with a passenger.

This unfortunate move was not enough to evade the attackers, as other members of the group appeared and began to repeatedly shoot at the vehicle.

Even after the man was hit by a shot, the criminals pulled him out of the car and continued shooting until they were sure he was dead. After the massacre, the attackers fled in cars and motorcycles.

Minutes later, one of the attackers returned to the crime scene and approached the man's body to take an object before fleeing again. The 22-year-old woman who was accompanying the man was also hit by the shots and died on the spot. Witnesses reported hearing more than 50 shots during the attack.

The motorcyclist who was run over and his passenger managed to take shelter and escaped unharmed from the scene.

Authorities from the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (SSPDS) confirmed the murder of the couple and are working with the 9th Police Station of the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP) to identify and capture those responsible for this heinous crime.

The main target of the criminals captured by security cameras was a man identified as Belo, an influential drug dealer from the São Paulo PCC organization. Known for his strong activity in the hunting and fishing region and in other cities of Ceará, Belo was executed along with his partner while they were leaving an apartment.
