Man arrested for murder of 6-year-old stepson in Iztacalco
The minor suffered constant abuse from his stepfather. The community demands justice for the murder of Niño Cruz
A tragic event has outraged the population of Iztacalco, in Mexico City, after a 6-year-old boy, known by neighbors as "Niño Cruz", was allegedly murdered by his stepfather, Oscar Reyes. Authorities report that the man subjected the minor to constant episodes of abuse, hitting him, suffocating him and whipping him repeatedly.
According to the communicator Carlos 'C4' Jiménez, several neighbors had already witnessed the abuse that the child suffered at the hands of his stepfather, but unfortunately the authorities were not alerted in time.
In a recent episode, Reyes ignored the child when she saw him faint, claiming that he was only pretending because he was having a "tantrum." Unfortunately, the child died from the attacks, presenting multiple bruises, wounds and signs of malnutrition.
Elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) managed to arrest the person responsible, who is now facing an investigation by the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City.
The community hopes for justice for the child and for the details of this unfortunate case to be clarified.
They also warn the authorities to investigate the child's mother, since she was aware of all the abuse and allowed it.
