Four people have been arrested in Birmingham on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was seriously injured in an attack caught on video
West Midlands Police have arrested four individuals on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Birmingham that left a man severely injured. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Saturday, August 24, was captured on video and quickly went viral on social media, sparking widespread reactions and debates online.
The attack took place around 1:30 AM BST at the intersection of Dudley Road and Bellefield Road in the Winson Green area. The victim, a man in his 40s, was attacked while in the company of his partner and their baby in a stroller. Despite being outnumbered, the man attempted to defend himself against three young assailants. In a critical moment, one of the attackers used a knife, stabbing the victim in the neck.
The video shows the man, after being injured, attempting to leave the scene while pushing his baby’s stroller, but he quickly collapsed due to blood loss. Fortunately, emergency services arrived in time and managed to transport him to the hospital, where he is currently in stable condition, according to West Midlands Police.
The suspects, three men aged 34, 29, and 26, and a 22-year-old woman, are in custody as investigations continue. Authorities believe that several people were present in the area during the attack and have urged potential witnesses to come forward and assist with the investigation.
The video of the attack has sparked outrage on social media, where many users have expressed their shock and concern over the disturbing footage.
