The educational community of the Provincial Institute of Secondary Education (IPEM) No. 198 Martín Ferreyra, located in the Poeta Lugones neighborhood, is going through moments of extreme tension after a video went viral where a student with a disability is the victim of bullying. This event triggered mobilizations, protests and an attack on the house of one of the alleged aggressors, in which around 120 people participated.
In the images spread on social networks, the victim is seen being subjected to humiliation by her classmates, who force her to perform degrading actions. In one of the scenes, they demand that she put a nylon bag on her head and dance, while in another recording the aggressors can be heard shouting: “Kick him! Kick him.” These videos generated deep social rejection, which led parents, students and the community in general to demand urgent responses from the authorities.
Last Thursday afternoon, tension reached a new level when a group of more than 100 people attacked the home of one of the teenagers involved in the case, located in the Cooperativa 3 de Noviembre neighborhood, with stones. Following the protest, the Córdoba Police intervened to control the situation, but during the operation, four officers were injured by the projectiles thrown by the protesters. In addition, four minors, students from the same institute, were detained.
According to a local media outlet, the family of the accused minor was placed under police protection due to the growing danger generated by the escraches and calls for new protests. Police Commissioner Sebastián Pereyra, in charge of the operation, confirmed that the police are still watching the house to prevent further incidents.
The release of the videos provoked not only a violent reaction, but also the organization of a sit-in by students of IPEM 198. In solidarity with the victim and demanding concrete actions, parents and students demonstrated in front of the school during both shifts on Thursday. "The kids got tired of waiting for answers. They collapsed. The bullying got out of control," said a teacher at the institute.
A group of parents filed a complaint with the Provincial Ministry of Education, demanding that immediate measures be taken to stop bullying within the establishment. Given the seriousness of the events, the Ministry activated a technical team and the corresponding protocols to investigate and address the situation.
The family of one of the accused denies the accusations and claims that the video has been manipulated. "It's all a lie. The police are already investigating," said a relative during an interview with **El Show del Lagarto**, where they also revealed that the minor has received multiple threats since the video was released. "We couldn't sleep because of fear last night," added the relative.
