Cadet dies in tragic accident during skydiving exercise

In a tragic accident during a parachuting exercise in Mexico, a cadet from the Heroica Naval Military School lost his life when his parachute did not open. The victim, identified as Emmanuel Velázquez Escobar, died last Monday, July 1, in the state of Campeche, as confirmed by the Secretariat of the Mexican Navy (Semar).

The unfortunate event was recorded on video, showing the exact moment in which the cadet's parachute did not open, resulting in a fatal fall.

In the video, you can see Velázquez Escobar jumping from a helicopter along with seven other companions. Seconds later, he crashed into an area of ​​grass, prompting a witness to immediately run to help him.

Despite the quick efforts of his companions, the fall resulted in instant death. The images capture the anguish and desperation of his companions, who, unable to do anything, approached the site of impact.

The naval community has shown its regret through an obituary spread on social networks, where the loss of the young cadet is deeply regretted. The publication expresses: “boy wings of steel, your war flag uncles from the Heroic Naval Military School, we are sad for your departure.” This message reflects the pain and solidarity of the institution in the face of the tragedy that has shaken the naval family.

The Secretary of the Navy has expressed its condolences and deeply regrets the loss. However, he has indicated that he still does not have additional information about what happened, which leaves him waiting for an official report that clarifies the circumstances of the tragic event.
