Desperate search: Wheelchair-bound killer escapes after shooting a young man

In the early hours of this Sunday, October 20, in the La Perla neighborhood of Moreno, Argentina, a young man who has been in a wheelchair since July, after suffering a motorcycle accident, was identified as the main suspect in the murder of a 26-year-old man.

The incident occurred around 6 a.m., at the intersection of La Plata and Evaristo Carriego streets. According to the investigation, both young men had had a previous argument for reasons that have not yet been clarified.

The attack was captured by a security camera of the Municipality, where several people are seen witnessing the event. The attacker, who remains in a wheelchair due to a fractured femur, is said to have fired almost without saying a word after approaching the victim. Despite the searches carried out at his home, the young man remains at large.

During the search, the police arrested a 16-year-old minor, brother of the accused, who was initially identified as the perpetrator of the shooting. However, after the first investigations and security camera records, it was determined that the teenager was not responsible, and the authorities confirmed that his brother, who is in a wheelchair, is the real person responsible for the homicide.

The case is being investigated by prosecutor Alejandra Piqué, of the Functional Investigation Unit (UFI) of Juvenile Criminal Responsibility No. 6 of the Moreno-General Rodríguez Judicial Department. The case has been classified as homicide aggravated by the use of a firearm.

Security forces are currently working hard to locate the suspect, while gathering more testimonies and evidence to clarify the motives behind the attack.
