Landy Párraga, former Miss Ecuador candidate, murdered

In an act of violence that has surprised the followers of Landy Párraga, a former beauty queen and model, she was brutally murdered inside a cevicheria in Quevedo, Ecuador. The crime occurred in the La Cuadra shopping center, located in the El Guayacán parish.

Párraga was having breakfast when a group of hitmen broke into the premises and shot him repeatedly, killing him instantly.

Landy Párraga's name had previously been mentioned in the Metastasis case, an investigation into drug trafficking that has led several individuals to prison. According to the chats revealed in this case, Párraga was related to drug trafficker Leandro Norero and his lawyer, Helive Angulo, alias Estimado. However, she was not officially linked to any illicit activity.

A resident of Santo Domingo, Ella Párraga had arrived in Quevedo to attend the marriage of the former vice prefect of Los Ríos, Jhoa Chon-Qui. Her last Instagram posts of hers showed happy moments at that wedding.

With an outstanding career in beauty pageants, Párraga had become a recognized figure on social networks, where she shared her life and her projects with more than 130,000 followers.

In addition to her career in modeling, she worked as a social communicator and influencer, and dedicated time as a volunteer in solidarity projects, such as collecting pallets for the construction of shelters after the 2016 earthquake in Manabí.
