Stalker on social networks: Who is Rebeca García?
Venezuelan authorities have finally taken steps to investigate and punish these alarming behaviors
Social media is abuzz with the recent exposure of a stalker who has been spreading terror in the online community. Identified as Rebeca García, this woman has been accused by multiple women of harassing them, and her actions do not stop there.
Anny De Trindade, one of the brave victims who has decided to speak out, shared her experience of harassment in a series of posts on X. From phone calls to social media messages and even attempts to send gifts to her workplace, Trindade has been harassed by García since 2020.
However, she is not alone, as other women have also been subjected to this person's persistent harassment.
The most alarming thing is that Rebeca García's harassment is not limited to the digital world. She has been accused of trespassing on private property, following victims in cars and even threatening to kill them.
Despite numerous reports and complaints, authorities have so far shown a lack of action, citing García's mental condition as a barrier to taking legal action.
Even Rebeca's brother, Francisco García, has been implicated in inappropriate activities, including harassing minors by posting photos on social media.
Given the seriousness of the situation, prosecutor Tarek William Saab has appointed the 59th and 66th National Prosecutor's Office to investigate and punish Rebeca García and her brother for a series of crimes, including stalking, harassment and death threats.
