Motorcycle accident leaves one dead and one seriously injured

In an unfortunate accident that occurred on the night of Wednesday, July 24, in Barra Mansa, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, one man lost his life and another was seriously injured after a head-on collision between two motorcycles. The incident took place on Rua São João, in the Santa Isabel neighborhood.

A security camera captured the moment when the two motorcycles, traveling in opposite directions, violently collided head-on. The force of the impact threw the drivers onto their vehicles.

According to the Fire Department, one of the motorcyclists did not survive the serious injuries suffered and died at the scene of the accident.

The other driver, approximately 25 years old, was rescued in critical condition and taken to Santa Casa. This medical unit reported on the morning of Thursday, July 25, that the patient remained hospitalized in serious condition.

The authorities carefully examined the scene of the accident to collect information that will help the Civil Police understand the circumstances of the event. Subsequently, the victim's body was transferred to the Medical Legal Institute (IML) of Volta Redonda, Rio de Janeiro.

The accident was officially registered at the Barra Mansa police station. The identities of those involved have not been revealed, nor has it been reported which of the two people died and which is seriously injured.
