Avocado seller dies after unintentionally hitting a motorcycle

In the center of Bucaramanga, an avocado seller lost his life after an altercation with a motorcycle taxi driver


In a senseless event in the center of Bucaramanga, Colombia, an avocado seller lost his life after a confrontation with a motorcycle taxi driver, who attacked him with a sharp weapon. Delio Hernández Durán, 49 years old, was a victim of this act of excessive violence.

The fateful event took place on Sunday, March 10, on 33rd Street and 15th Street, when Hernández Durán, pushing his sales cart, accidentally hit the attacker's motorcycle, which was parked on the corner. In response, the motorcycle taxi driver, who was consuming alcoholic beverages with other informal transporters, confronted the seller.

After an exchange of words, the aggressor took out a sharp weapon and attacked Hernández Durán, leaving him seriously injured with two stab wounds in the posterior chest. Despite the efforts of witnesses to help him, the street vendor was transferred to the Santander University Hospital, where he unfortunately died due to the severity of his injuries.

Family, friends and colleagues of Hernández Durán gathered in an emotional ceremony to pay tribute to his life and remember his dedication as a street vendor for more than three decades on the streets of Bucaramanga.




He leaves behind five children, who cry out for justice and ask that the person responsible for this tragic crime be brought before the law.

The aggressor fled the scene on a TVS motorcycle, license plate AVH-40D, wearing an orange and white striped sweatshirt, white shorts, a cap and tennis shoes.

Despite the evidence and the identification of the attacker's motorcycle, the authorities have not yet captured the person responsible.

Update

Alias 'Cejas', the murderer who took the life of the avocado seller after accidentally hitting his motorcycle, has been captured by the CTI and the SIJIN. He will be presented before a judge at a public hearing to determine whether to send him to prison.
