Tragic murder of mother and daughters in Santa Marta

Santa Marta - Colombia, November 29. A horrifying scene shook the tranquility of the Don Jaca neighborhood in Santa Marta, when a mother and her two daughters were victims of a brutal shooting that has left the community plunged in pain and dismay. The victims were identified as Sindry Mugno, Michel Vergara and Betsy Liliana Vergara.
The crime took place on Wednesday night, and authorities confirmed that another minor was injured during the attack, being transferred to a health center and later to a higher level clinic to receive treatment. Although the exact details of the triple homicide are unknown, it is known that the crime scene was cordoned off to allow the review of security camera recordings.
According to the first versions, the victims were summoned to the scene and were then intercepted by two gunmen, who opened fire indiscriminately. The three women lost their lives instantly, plunging the community into deep pain.
The Technical Investigation Corps of the CTI of the Attorney General's Office has assumed the investigation of the case, while the Santa Marta Metropolitan Police is preparing to offer an official statement. The community has been called to collaborate with any information that may help clarify this tragic event.
