Restaurant owner killed in front of fire station

On the afternoon of this Friday, May 24, the city of Buga in Colombia was the scene of a hitman attack that left Andrés Felipe Gutiérrez Alzate, owner of the renowned Mi Tierra restaurant, as a victim.

The tragic incident occurred in front of the fire station, when Gutiérrez Alzate was inside a white Audi vehicle with license plate ZZV 033 at a gas station in the El Albergue neighborhood.

According to reports, two motorized individuals approached the vehicle and opened fire on Gutiérrez Alzate, shooting him several times, causing him to die at the scene.

The gas station's security cameras captured the moment of the attack. In the images, you can see how an acquaintance of the victim gets out of the car first, looking around while he checks his cell phone. Seconds later, one of the hitmen approaches the vehicle and shoots Andrés Felipe three times, before quickly fleeing with his accomplice on a motorcycle.

The victim's companion returned to the vehicle after the attack and requested help when he saw that Andrés Felipe was still alive. Unfortunately, Gutiérrez Alzate died at the scene before the arrival of medical services.

Forensic teams examined the vehicle and the scene of the attack for clues that could lead to the attackers.

This fact has left the city of Buga in a state of alert and has highlighted the growing concern for security in the municipality. Buga ranks third in violence rates in the department of Valle del Cauca, with a significant increase in crime and extortion.

The authorities do not rule out the possibility that this attack is a retaliation by extortionists against businessmen who refuse to pay.
