What seemed like a normal ride between a couple ended in a devastating scene on the road connecting Los Patios with Pamplona, in Norte de Santander.
Yisel Daniela Delgado Parra was a passenger on a TVS Raider 125 motorcycle, but before reaching the accident site, she made a decision that would change everything: she asked her partner to let her drive.
The young man agreed, and they switched positions. Minutes later, on one of the curves in the road, the accident occurred.
In the middle of a curve, Yisel lost control of the motorcycle. The vehicle veered off the road and crashed into the sidewalk. The impact was violent, and both occupants were ejected.
Passersby rushed to their aid. Yisel was still alive when she was rescued and rushed to the hospital, but her injuries were too severe. Shortly afterward, her death was confirmed.
Her boyfriend, who was riding as a passenger, survived. He was taken to a medical center and, according to reports, is in stable condition.
Behind this tragedy lies more than just an accident. Yisel was at an important stage in her life: she was studying at a beauty school in Cúcuta and had recently graduated, with plans to move forward.
