Influencer Heidy Ramírez dies on the Cúcuta-El Zulia highway

A regrettable traffic accident occurred on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 19, 2025, on the highway that connects Cúcuta with the municipality of El Zulia, in the Urimaco sector. The victim was identified as Heidy Ramírez, a 22-year-old woman recognized locally for her activity on social media, especially on TikTok (@heidyrr1), where she had more than 186,000 followers.

The accident occurred around 5:00 p.m. when the Yamaha Crypton motorcycle Ramírez was riding was struck by a tractor-trailer. The young woman had acquired the vehicle just a month and a half before the tragic accident. At the time of the incident, she was traveling toward El Zulia with a relative, who was riding another motorcycle a few meters ahead.

Authorities are investigating two versions of the cause of the accident. The first suggests possible traffic negligence: according to this hypothesis, Ramírez and her relative attempted to overtake the tractor-trailer on the right. While the other motorcyclist managed to complete the maneuver, the young woman was not as fortunate and ended up being struck by the rear tires of the heavy vehicle, dragged several meters before the driver was able to stop.

The second version suggests that a pedestrian on the road may have caused the accident. According to this theory, Ramírez attempted to avoid the pedestrian, causing her to lose control of her motorcycle and fall to the asphalt, where she was run over by the truck.

Officers from the Judicial Traffic and Transportation Police arrived at the scene to carry out the necessary investigations and clarify the exact circumstances of the accident.

A fate marked by tragedy

Heidy Ramírez's death has caused a stir on social media, where messages of condolence from her followers and loved ones have multiplied. Her tragic passing follows another difficult episode in her life: a year earlier, her partner, Jeferson José García Caballero, alias Mandíbula, was murdered while also riding a motorcycle.

The crime occurred on the night of April 3, 2024, in the San Luis neighborhood of Cúcuta, when gunmen shot him three times while he was driving. Alias ​​Mandíbula was the brother of Miguel Ángel García Caballero, known as alias Ken, who was also murdered in violent incidents on the road leading from the La Gazapa Bridge to Los Libertadores Avenue.
