The population of Tolú, in Sucre, is shocked after the tragic death of María Isabel Londoño, a 24-year-old girl from Rionegro, Antioquia. Londoño was found dead on the morning of Monday, May 27, just outside the cabin where she was staying in the El Francés sector.
The young woman had arrived at the coastal municipality with two friends to enjoy a previously planned walk. However, the plans took an unexpected turn when a cabin worker found Londoño unconscious and lying on the side of the rented home.
Upon noticing the situation, the employee alerted the young woman's friends, who were sleeping at the time.
Desperate, her friends took Londoño to the local hospital, where she arrived still with vital signs. Unfortunately, despite her medical efforts, her critical condition led to her death being confirmed shortly after her admission.
The news has aroused great interest among the residents and visitors of El Francés, especially after the mention of a witness who saw a woman leave the rented cabin upset.
Local authorities, including judicial units of the CTI of the Prosecutor's Office and the Sijín of the Police, are investigating the case to clarify the circumstances of Londoño's death.
Although the first hypotheses suggest a possible accidental fall from the terrace of the cabin (fourth floor), investigators continue working to confirm the facts.
To advance the investigation, the recordings from the security cameras at the location have been secured and are under chain of custody. It is hoped that the analysis of these recordings will offer more clarity about Londoño's last moments and confirm whether she was indeed upset when she left the cabin.
